Earth Sculptures

A collection of large sculptures experimenting with the use of mud as the base material on a supporting metal armature.  They were largely inspired by wattle and daub tribal huts, and anthills seen in the African bush, cloud-like shapes and figurative forms. An interaction between human beings and nature elements.  A chance to explore the vision I had of making larger than life artworks on a limited budget.

They follow the theme of my 1st bronze. This link will show you this work and explain the significance to my recent works and the journey to get there. Click this link Iris playing with clouds.
